Put it in your local paper !!
Stick in on for sale in your local free ads paper.
If you're looking for a place to sell it, try craigslist.com if you haven't already.
That's easy, why don't you just sell it on Gumtree, its free!
www.gumtree.com
hi go to www.freeads.co.uk its free and iv sold a few things on there, plus you will get more for it then selling to a shop.
no..shops wont take your bed however nice it is...due to bed bugs & fleas. i wouldnt buy a bed from a bed shop...if the new one was alongside a second hand bed from somebody else...not hygenic!

put an ad in your local paper or put one in your local newsagents window
If you need to sell, then the local papers or the newsagents window would be the best place as they would be local buyers. If you just want to get rid of it then try freecycle, that way they'd come and collect and you'll feel good about not wasting precious resources!
I would go for eBay or your local paper, if free.
I have bought furniture from eBay with no trouble and you can look around for a good idea of a guide price to sell it for.
Load of perople buy secondhand beds from ebay - especially for properties they are going to rent out.
