What is the best combination of colour for house painting (outside part) minimalist type ?

as a rule the trim of the house should always be darker than the rest of the house. (it accents the house without overkill)

Never use pinks, purples, oranges, they make the house look cheap and most of the time your neighbors will make your life very difficult until you change it. Earth tones are your best bet and again it depends on the style of home.
