What item did you find you helped most your first year of college?
Question:Besides- bed, computer, printer, microwave, fridge, desk or something equally obvious.
I'm compiling a list of stuff I need for college and would like some input. What surprised you? What did you wish you had? What was a waste of money and/or space?
Answers:
My laptop and cell phone were probably the best items. I was surprised at how immature some of my fellow students were. I wish I had a bookbag on wheels.
alcohol. I would have never gotten laid if not for the helping hand of cabernet.

The sofa/bed. Got a used one for free that fit perfect in the dorm room. Great for sitting on and whipping out when guests would stay the night.
thats pretty much it and an extra bed slip so you wont have to do the laundry that same day you change your sheets.
