Do neighbours wind chimes annoy you ?
Question:Our new neighbour has just put up a set of wooden bloody wind chimes and there doing my head in, the thing is that its always windy here and they just clunk away 24/7. Am I grumpy or would it annoy you too ?

I used to have a neighbor who had about six different sets all around his patio,drove the surrounding neighbors nuts,we finally (aftre several cocktails) went over when they were gone for the weekend and ripped them all down and said a storm came through and the wind and hail destroyed them, I don't think they believed us but they never replaced them.
Not once I tare them down they don't.
that would annoy the hell out of me.. i guess all you can do is cut it off..lol
I don't know. All my wind chimes drown out the neighbors' wind chimes.
Get a bigger set for yourself and drown them out.
My neighbour has chimes as well ,but i can honestly sat they dont bother me.
I had to put up with that for years at my old house. It was worse during the autumn storms - all freaking night clanging and banging in the wind. It is not unreasonable to ask very sweetly if they would humour a good neighbour by taking them down at night and only having them up during the daytime. Or pay a local kid to nick them.
You sound like you need to learn how to "not sweat the petty stuff" in life. Relax.
If that doesn't work, go out to their porch and start singing along with the chimes really loudly. The song can be about the annoying chimes.
Ha Ha, I guess you would consider me an annoying neighbor than. I have a couple of chimes, but I dont have the wooden ones...they tend to be more annoying than the metal or plastic ones. Maybe talk to your neighbor and tell them...I would :) Good luck.
Windchimes drive me crazy!! When I first got a house 6 yrs ago I bought a windchime, I had it down within the first 24hrs because the damn thing made so much noise and I thought my god my neighbors are going to hate me if I leave these up.

There are a lot more annoying things than wind chimes, but I guess if you know they're there, you will be listening for them clunking all the time!
Absolutely, definitely. Set your dog off barking and when they complain tell them she's barking at your wind chimes and they can either live with the barking or ditch the chimes. Who invented those damn things?
