Timber cladding / weatherboarding?

Question:I have a very large shed which is very useful but a bit of an eyesore, being clad in corrugated metal and right next to my Georgian house. One option is to keep the existing structure, which is solid and weatherproof, but clad it in wood. It doesn't matter if the wood isn't very waterproof but it must look like it's meant to be there, not just softwood shiplap that looks like a cheap shed. What sort of wood should I be looking for? Can any recommend any sources in the Lincs/Notts area?

Answers:
Waney edge fencing material may suit. It's thin but you say you don't need structural strength. You'd need to try local fencing stockists/materials suppliers . Waney edge feather edge would be more rigid, may also suit. I have to disagree with your dislike of shiplap though. I built a "shed" 17' x 21', shiplap, with 4' verandah at front, french doors, double glazed, insulated,... looked more like a swiss chalet, :-)
