Painting a patched-up wall?

Question:Will one coat of paint do for a wall that's been patched up with joint compound and sanded smooth?

Answers:
one coat should cover if the color is light (white). you should really prime the wall let dry then paint. make sure you get all of the dust from sanding off the wall before any primer or paint goes on. if not the paint will not bond.

You should prime it first and then coat it with your prefered colored paint, once or twice. Panting the wall wthout primer or with one coat is obvious and it fades color faster/easily. Add effects to it to mak you wall looks attractiv or interesting. Try sponge effect, then to make the effect subtle by running a roll brush through it.
