Dust Ruffle question?

Question:I have a full size dust ruffle that I want to fit to a queen size bed. The bed is pushed up against the wall. Is the size difference such that I can just pull the dust ruffle "short" on the side of the bed up against the wall?

Answers:
Of course you can! Matter of fact, I'm going to do the same thing, considering I just got rid of my full size, and got a new queen size bed. Without much money, that solution only makes sense.

As long as the side that's against the wall is a long side I don't see why not. It might look a little weird in the corner at the foot of the bed but if you pull it tight enough it'd be okay. If not, bed skirts are only like $10 at Target.
Most full size box springs are 54x75, whereas the queens are 60x80. *many full size beds today are 54x80, so you will need to measure.
If it was my house and headboard was to one wall and side of bed was to another wall, I would do it in a heartbeat :) even if it was short on one side and fell short on length.
I have a queen & full-size bed in my house now. I regulary use comforters & quilts interchangably. Bedspreads, matalasses & duvets are more custom sized...so I avoid buying those ;)
Good luck!

A lot would depend on the dust ruffle itself. Most dust ruffles are made by sewing the ruffle to a length of muslin or cotton the same size as the box spring (twin, full, etc.). So if you pull it to one side you may have the muslin or cotton showing. You could add some eyelet or lace to the bottom of the dust ruffle
and fit the dust ruffle so the muslin is centered on the box springs. Then the side against the wall won't matter and the whole thing should look good from any angle.
