Decorating help!?
Question:What can I do today to reorginize my room, without spending money and using things around the house?
Answers:
I love to move the furniture around. Putting your couch in a new position completely changes the room. For inexpensive decorating changes, add a throw rug over a chair or couch and some "new"cushions. You can get them second-hand, or just buy the real cheap ones at a market. Dress the cushions up with fringing or beads that you can easily sew on yourself. Get some fake flowers, also second-hand or from a market, cut the heads off and sew them onto cushions.
Get yourself a canvas from the art store and some acrylic paints, (a cheap set of student's acrylics would be ideal) then invite a few friends to help you make an artwork for your living room. Make sure you put down lots of newspaper in case it gets messy. Then when you're finished, you have cheap decorating and a nice reminder of your friends.
Take a drive in the countryside and gather up a big heap of wild grasses. Hang them upside down until they're dried out,(couple of weeks depending on the type of grasses) then put them in an interesting container in your living room.
start w/ bins ... 1 for junk... 1 for keeps...
