Anyone had success with painting an old appliance, like a freezer?

Question:The monster freezer works fine; just looks like toast because of the rust. I heard I could spray paint it to look just like new?
What say you??

Answers:
I have an old 50's style fridge that I painted a union jack flag on using marine paint. The stuff is insanely durable and hasn't chipped or flaked to this day and I painted it over 10 years ago.

Can buy appliance paint at the home center.
You can spray paint appliances to look like new. But you can not use just any spray paint. You are going to need an Appliance Epoxy spray paint-you could try American Tradition(Valspar) or Rustoleum brands. You can find these at Lowe's or Home Depot for about $4-$6. Good Luck!
I painted an old fridge that had rust marks by sanding the rust a little and painting with white Tremclad paint. It looked like new.
