Is there a wall paint that dries immediately?
Question:If so, could you recommend some good brands? Thanks in advance.
Answers:
If the temperature is fairly warm, not cold, almost any latex or acrylic paint will dry fairly quickly when painting over the same. A latex or acrylic flat paint will usually dry the fastest. Eggshell and satin finishes are next in drying time, and finally semigloss paints. All oil based paints will take hours to dry. In situations where I needed paint to dry quickly, turn on several fans to aid in air circulation and reduce drying time. I have extensively used Kelly-Moore paints, Sherwin Williams, Jones-Blair, and Sterling paints. Glidden is also a good brand. Do not scrimp on your paint. I usually recommend a medium grade paint or better. You get better coverage and durability that way.

No paint is instant but I recently painted the interior of my house and I used Kilz latex exterior. Being an exterior it is easier to wash down and keep clean . There was no odor and It looks really good It was a one coat paint and did avery good job . Cost was 87.00 for 5 gallon at Walmart.I painted ceilings and walls all the same color an off white.
Ceiling paint, the highest quality at Sherwin Williams comes close. Just because it says ceiling paint does not limit it to ceilings. the selling point was that it drys so fast that most flecks are dry before they hit the floor. Humidity is the biggest factor. The less humid it is the faster the paint will dry. Put a dehumidifier in the room. Fans help, just make sure you have a clean area or you will just throw the dust on your new walls.
