Stripping and refinishing - any tips?

Question:I will be doing a small piece of furniture and so what special tools might I need? I already have the stripper, stain and shellac. I supposed I will need a scraper, rubber gloves, andpaper ...anything else?

Lots of rags, news paper and a plastic drop cloth help. Also a paint brush for applying the shellac (and one for the stain if that is the kind of stain you are using) Have fun!
