Can I install a new pool liner over a old pool liner?

Question:The metal walls are a little ruff 10 years ago i used duck tap to cover holes and such.I want to leave the old liner in to protect the new liner.

Answers:
It's not a good idea. It can be done if your liner pool is an over the top liner, but if it's a beaded liner then you will have to remove it.

To protect your liner from rough walls you can paint the walls with Herculiner for pickup truck beds. It's a little expensive but the stuff is durable as all get out! You can also protect the new liner by buffering the walls with expandable foam, rubber matting, etc.
