My friend has had her house repossessed, what fixtures & fittings can she remove from the house ? kitchenunits?

Question:can she take out the new kitchen ,hob, oven that she recently installed

Answers:
take everything out that was not in the house when she bought it

as much as she can yes
take the whole lot, strip the house bare, don't leave them a thing, i would take all the plug sockets and light switches too.
I don't see why not, as long as it's removed properly with the gas/electric safely disconnected. It doesn't form part of the building, so it should be ok. They shouldn't go on a wrecking spree though, the damage costs will be added to any other oustanding debt.

The problem with these sort of cases is that people think it's over when they hand in the keys, but it's not. The lenders chase any outstanding debt and it can go on for years.
gut it respectfully
If the repo is complete, she will be stealing anything she takes out that is actually connected to the property. If it's not complete yet, she can remove anything she wants. Keep in mind though, the more she takes out, the less the house will sell for, and the more money the lender will be able to obtain a judgment after the sale proceeds are applied to the loan balance. She could end up cutting her own throat?
She can remove anything and everything except the fabric of the house.

Bear in mind that the house will be sold and if it is sold at a loss she will be liable for that shortfall so she might be best advised to leave things where they are unless she has a use for them in her new house.
she can take what ever if she dont plan on going back to the place
You say the house has been repossed - That means anything in the house after the time of repossesion is no longer hers. If she takes anything she will be stealing, I would suggest she doesn't require a burgulary / theft conviction to add to her now credit blacklisted name.

If you are a true friend to her make sure she does not go do that road.
Many of the other answers you have above are recommending something called stealing. Houses are not repossessed like cars, they are foreclosed for failure to pay the mortgage. Once foreclosed, the real estate becomes the property of the lender and stealing from them may be a bad decision if things get uglier than they already are.
Why was your friend installing new kitchens in her house when she knew it was at risk of being repossessed?.
Call me old fashioned but wouldn't that money have been better spent clearing her arrears.
Now she Will be relying on the council or housing associations to house her.
If she has children she will get bed and breakfast but it is not guaranteed. She may find herself and her family on the streets. It does happen.
have an house emptying party, and invite every one to take what they want so long as they pay you first. while you lose, some one gains .so gain some your self.
I doubt it very much. It would be like having your car repo-ed and taking the engine out because you had it serviced
No, she can only remove items that you would normally remove if the house was sold.

Think of it this way: If you turned the house upside down and assume all screws have mega-strength, anything that falls you can take.

Fitted items, including a fitted hob, need to stay.
