My walls are going to be a grayish blue. What color should my carpet be?
Question:I have a studio, I want to get a 5x8 carpet. Which will look the best?
Answers:
Take paint samples with you when you go to choose your carpet. That way you're sure it will go well. I really like the look of Berber. Had a shade of Berber at my old house that was mostly gray tones, but had faint colors in it as well. It was nice because if I wanted to change the look of room, I had options.
I would go with light gray.
I would suggest a neutral color, so that way any time you decide to change your walls, furniture or curtains you don't have to worry about the carpet. I would go with a beige or a maybe a shade of blueish gray.
Decorators usually suggest keeping the same color, but in different hues..OR going to the opposite side of the color wheel. Hope this helps.
Maybe a solid grey or a solid blue. But I would the grey would look better
If you want the room to look dark, get a lighter color. If you want the room to look lighter, get a darker color.
My advice would be to choose the carpet BEFORE you choose wall color. As a general rule, flooring is significantly more expensive and more durable and is therefore a long-term investment. Paint is inexpensive and easily changed. One would usually choose a carpet that is neutral or multi-colored (such as an oriental rug) and therefore would coordinate with many wall treatments and upholstery fabrics. Good luck!
I'd use light gray
I would get a shag rug in a white/beige or if your feeling daring a red shag rug
If it's this kind of blue u're talking about, I think this combination of color in the pic would look awesome and chic.So I'd suggest a brown carpet. And decorate the room around those color. It looks soooo good, I've seen rooms decorated like that, it's sooo modern.
