Question:my auntie is always decorating her house and someone told her she would be good a interior deisigner. so she wants too know what she has 2 do to go college and start a business .. do u know??

She can take an online or correspondence course. She also has to decide if she wants to be an interior designer or an interior decorator. Depending on her state she may have to be certified with the state to be an interior designer. Interior decorators do not.
She can check out the Certified Interior Decorators International website, which lists schools that they accept for providing the Certified Interior Decorator title to people who pass the final exam.
She should also look into the business aspect. A lot ot Towns and Counties have their information online now and she should see what she has to do to form a business.
Perhaps a college counselor could give her guidance
She doesn't have to go to college, if she already has the talent to design things, sometimes to much knowledge can screw up a good thing. Let her design a few houses for free, and the word of mouth is usually a good way to start up a small business, she can work from her home and when she finally builds enough clients she can start her own business.
If she is good at it then word of mouth is all she really needs. I have been told that i am very good also and decided to check on online classes. It will take about 3 years and $75,000.00. No thanks! Seriously though I have been asked by several people to come and decorate their homes just by word of mouth. I don't make much money though because I live in a small town and not many people want to spend the money. But if she lives in a bigger city, she should be able to make money at it too.
