I need ideas for a room design I'm thinking of!?
Question:Hi I'm Rae and I'm 13. I just started the Clique series(awesome!) and to anyone who hasnt read it, theres a girl named Massie who has an all white room, and I love that idea! So I decided to redo my room all white. The trim color will probably be a creamish cause that my carpet color. I also need to know what other color would go great(purple or light blue are what I'm thimking..) Ehmagosh Please Help! Also I forgot to mention I need decorating tips!! The room is on a pretty low budget and I have brown and gold walls so need to know any suggestions for covering them up with white!!

before you paint the walls white, you must prime them first. that means paint them with a special paint called 'primer'. i like zinser brand. then the white paint will be really white and the color underneath wont show through. all colors go good with white. i like a lot of colors and especially the kind of blue you see in hawaii. if you use white and blue, try making any metal things in the room be white or silver. thats icy cold!
Rae-use a good primer on your walls then recoat with white-maybe think about a soft champagne white or cream on your wall with white trim so your furniture (if its white ) will show off more. Look up ideas on HGTV.com-they have referral photos for different rooms etc. Alot of classic country, french country and shabby chic is done white on white so those styles might suit you. I just repainted my daughters furniture white and sanded the edges-it looks great. We did her walls in a really soft pool blue with white trim and she's getting b/w pattern damask bedding and putting up old hollywood glam photos-like Marilyn Monroe-etc. I'm replacing her fan with a chandelier and I painted her lamp base black with a white shade which I glued beading too-it looks hot. And very clean and easy for her to keep clean-She's 13 too and fshion,soccer and music are everywhere if I don't watch her-I wish I had such a cool room when I was young! Good luck! Have Fun!
