Talk to manager, complain to web sight, do it nicely.

Here is your lesson - DON"T SHOP AT WALMART! Give few extra box to a professional paint shop in town.
thats way i do not shop walmart!!!!!!!!
NO! Its not right! I hate hate hate walmart b/c they are a horrible company who hires people and they dont train them well enough to do their jobs. I cant only imagine you specifically asked for interior wall paint. And Assuming this is true, It is their mistake. If the Manager or Store manager doesnt help you out I would call another close store and ask them if they can help you out if that doesn't work write a letter to the corporate offices. My friends had issues with a booster seat and after complaining for a few they sent her a refund for the seat and a $25 gift card to try to keep her business she never went back for anything important, but hey its worth the extra $25!

Either way Walmart paint is horrible anyways I would strongly suggest going to Lowes or Home depot where you can get Behr paint which is superior and keeps forever. I had a gallon of walmart paint that was 1/2 used and went to touch up spots and the paint was solid, But the more expensive paint 10 doesn't chip or peel with time and Keeps I opened that baby up after a year and it looked as fresh as it was when i bought it. bonus!
Much of what Wallyworld does is NOT right, logical or ethical! Hopefully, you at least learned not to shop there anymore. You could hire an attorney to deal with it. In the meantime, try Lowe's Home Improvement; it should be a much better experience. For all of your other needs, try Target, Big Lots, Family Dollar or anywhere else!!
no its not right but its' partly your fault, you should have noticed something was wrong with the paint when you started pouring it out of the can, what you can do now is skim coating the the bad paint job with drywall mudd, then sanding it smooth,or using a textured paint to try and hide the imperfections, using textured paint would be the easiest method, alot of people use textured paint after removing wall paper and it works very well, depending on how bad the paint job is-the worse it is the heavier the textured paint should be
lesson learned Wal Mart carries cheap paint you should find a Mab dealer or a Benjamin Moore dealer

I HATE Wal Mart
SEW THEM!!
I am unsure why you bought paint from a walmart to brgin with but you might be able to lightly sand the paint already on the walls and start with a kilz primer then paint over the walls.

but will cost more than you saved by shopping at walmart.

I would price all the products needed to fix the problem then bring written quote to walmart and ask a manage if he wants to refund your money, give you new paint or pay the quote and have it fixed... I bet he will be willing to give back the $15 or $20 bucks ya spent.
good luck
Items purchased such as paint is hard for a shop to resell - especially if they have mixed it for you. You must take care when ordering paint and double check they have given what you asked for b4 you leave the store
Yikes! I am not a big Wal-Mart fan either, but this really doesn't sound like they messed up.

Enamel simply means that the paint dries to a hard surface finish. This is a good thing, it will make your walls much easier to clean later. I would never put anything on a wall that was not an enamel.

The label says "wall and trim". That means you can use it on walls or trim. Since you are indeed painting walls, that is not a problem.

Paint was really thick. Did you read the directions? Pretty sure it says you can add a bit of water if you don't like the consistency. Thicker is better than thinner, to a degree. It will cover much better than a thin paint.

Going on crappy looking is not much of a description to go by, but with a quality paint application is important. You need the correct roller cover (3/8" nap, preferably less for a smooth wall. Work the paint a bit to get it spread out over a large enough area.

In short, what they gave you is a regular wall paint. Probably one of their better paints. Unless it had big globs or a film on the surface, either of which I don't see how you could not notice before you start, the paint is probably fine.
Hi,

That completely sucks about your walls. I hate it when that happens, and it happens a lot in my line of work.

If you grabbed the paint off the shelf yourself, it's 100% your fault for not reading the label.

If you talked to a paint monkey and told him/her about your project, and they recommended the product you purchased, it's still 100% your fault. You should have read the label.

If you said "I need wall paint" and the paint monkey gave you the product in question without asking YOU questions, it's still 100% your fault. You should have taken the time to read the label.

Do-it-yourself can also mean "screw-it-up-yourself". Trusting anyone's advice in the DIY business is always a gamble. If you want to have someone to blame, hire someone. Then they are liable for not reading the label.

Unfortunately, it is uneqivocably entirely the customers responsibility to make sure the product purchased is the correct product, whether it's shampoo, or air freshener, or paint.

If we, at Benjamin Moore, took financial responsibility for every do-it-yourselfer's screw up, our extremely-expensive- already paint would be $500 bucks a can.

But, as a locally owned franchise, my boss has a soft heart and takes pity on folks like you, and sometimes eats the mistakes of DIY-ers who don't read the label.

Hope the next can is the right product. And I'll bet you $5 bucks that you'll be reading the back of that can from now on!
