Approx. what would it cost to turn a bedroom into a full bathroom? Here are the details:?

Question:We have a full bathroom downstairs, and upstairs we have 3 bedrooms.

We want to make one of those bedrooms into a full bathroom.

The floor with all the bedrooms has no plumbling whatsoever.

I know that there are a million variables here, and most could not give us an estimate without seeing it first.

However, I am only looking for a ballpark.

Lets assume that all the bathroom fixtures are average quality. Nothing speacial.

Any ideas?

Answers:
You're talking a huge project here. The feasible way I can think of making an upstairs bath work where there was never a bath is if you have overly tall ceilings like many houses of that era - 9 - 12 foot ceilings. This will enable you to create a drop ceiling and put the plumbing between the floor upstairs and the ceiling downstairs. Ball park? I'd guess at $20,000 and probably more depending on where you live.
