Query about repairing lovely white table?

Question:I have a large, white, round table on a central, pedestal base. The base has become unstable, and the table top is therefore unsteady.

I don't want to put legs on it, as it is aesthetically pleasing now -any repair suggestions for the base? I would so love to restore my beautiful white table to full use as currently the top must be propped up on one side!

Thanking you in advance for your help.

Answers:
If it is just a loose top then this can be fixed quite easily at very little cost - what tends to happen over time is the screws or bonding agent used - work loose.

Check to see if it is screw fitment or bonding - if it is screw then undo the screws completely and remove the top - apply some NO MORE NAILS to the rails/centre section and refit top - tighten screws.

If it is a bonded fitting the again - apply some NO MORE NAILS and allow to harden overnight with a fairly heavy weight across the centre -

If you flip it over, you will probably find loose bolts. Wiggle the pedestal to see where the movement is coming from. You may just be able to tighten the bolts.
