Yes it is possible to change the colour and the method and products required depend on what type of leather it is. One type uses dyes and the other uses pigments.
In either case it is a job best left to the experts as the correct preparation needs doing well otherwise it will not work. Do not be tempted by DIY kits off the internet and by those who say it is easy to do.
you can get leather dye but will only be able to dye it darker so prob talking brown or black...not so good!
best thing is to find a throw or some material you really like to make a cover for it..
Accessorize with throw pillows and a blanket or shawl. Depending on the color of green, you might consider shades in a "family" close to it. Look online for ideas.
Go get some paint chips and see what you like. Then go out looking for pillows with some pattern.
Maybe there are places that can re-dye the leather. OR, just having it reupholstered is an idea. However, I would imagine that both could be pretty expensive.
If you aren't dead-set on having a leather sofa, then slipcovers might be an option. BrylaneHome has them online. I have to warn you though, if they don't fit exact, they can be a pain when they move around and you end up having to straighten them.
