Laminate flooring?

Question:can i lay laminate flooring on the second floor? i don't like carpet, want to get rid of them and replace it.

Answers:
yes you can. Istrongly suggest putting down the wheather/sound barrier underneath. I know someone who didn't and it is extremely loud downstairs when there is any activity upstairs.

Yes.
yes you can
why not
yeah upstairs is fine as long as you have suitable cushioning underneath, like a quality underlay for wooden flooring, that way there will not be much overhead noise.
This is entirely your own choice- carpet or laminate
Yes you can as long as the surface is fairly level.
yes you can , but it will increase noise travel even if you have the correct underlay...
Yes, you need to make sure that the floor boards are screwed down, and get a good underlay down too.Floors2Go are good in the UK, they will let you know what you need.I have laminate and bamboo flooring, it's easier to keep clean than carpet.
Depending on what's under your carpet. Is it tile? Vinyl? Particleboard?

With hardwood laminate, you must have a smooth surface. Buy the BEST you can afford. Cheaper laminates, I find, tend to peel and buckle. If you are laying directly on concrete, you stand a good chance of having problems from moisture from the concrete.
If you have concrete, use your imagination and consider scoring and/or painting it. You can use patterns and colors that imitate tile, wood or stone. Then overlay with an area rug.
yes
you can lay laminate flooring on any level
