How do you remove candle wax from a hurricane vase?

Question:we just had a wedding and wanted to clean out our hurricane vases but there is a lot of candle wax inside the vase? whats the best way to remove the wax and have the vases look good as new?

Answers:
Stick your vase in the freezer overnight and the wax should pop out easily the next day. The cold shrinks the wax and it contracts away from the sides of the vase. After the wax is out, clean with warm soapy water and a bottle brush. The warm water will help soften any wax residue left on the glass.

This may be a bit time consuming if you have many. Put the vase in the freezer. When the wax has frozen gently pry the edge of the wax. It should come off in large pieces.
Fill your sink with hot water and set vases in there, fill them with hot water also, this will immediately loosen the wax and it will come right out. Finish up with windex and a towel to shine them up. Works great! I clean all my candle holders this way! :)
*** Just please, DO NOT try and scrape or dig out! Many years ago, before I knew better, I tried this and the knife I was digging with broke right through the glass and srtabbed into my palm! Required 6 stitches and a big bruise on my ego! lol!
