Traditional colours of Victorian times was, Brown or Green, as white paint was not invented until the 1920's and then everything that did not move was painted white.
It's important to paint your home in the traditional paint colors of the times. In fact, some towns won't allow you to use any other colors on historical homes so you may want to check your city or town by-laws before you paint. If there are by-laws and you fly in the face of them and paint your house a modern color, you may risk getting a HUGE fine...
