What colors goes good with dark olive green??
Question:There is a new dark olive green rug in the livingroom... i dont really like it. Is there anyway that I can use color to enhance the room to not focus on the color of the rug? I have maroon couches and art decorations that seem to have darker colors. I am so confused that I just want to leave it white...but white is so boring. Any suggestions?
Answers:
I have a dark olive green couch and I like to accent the couch with golds and burgundies. I helps to break up the darkness of the couch.
burnt seinna, beige's, terre cotta,
warm beige or mocha/latte color would be great with chocolate brown accents/woodwork.
I have a very similar carpet, my walls were a creamy color because i also had couches in another room (but they were open to each other) and since wthie goes with everything and the couches were a strange color i cose cream
Try a light brown with gold touches in it. That will break up the dark colors. Burnt orange would also work. WIth the lighter color, you could also put up some mirrors. This will keep the room looking larger than it is (since dark colors seem to make it appear smaller). :o) Happy Decorating!
I agree w/ warm beige
