Any idea how much IKEA kitchen cabinet installation costs?

Question:We have picked up a design for our kitchen from IKEA. We have also picked up a granite counter from another store. Do you have any idea how much it costs to instal the cabinets and the counter? The cabinets are around $4000. Also has anyone had bad experience with IKEA kitchen cabinets? I have bad experience with their desks, cheap wooden furniture but don't know about theyr kitchens. Thanks

The installation cost is about as much as the cabinets. This is an approximate figure but it is close enough. As far as quality, IKEA has an upper grade cabinet. It is worth the extra money.

Have you solicited other bids for your project? $4000 for cabinets sounds like a good price but if their kitchen cabinets are as 'high-quality' are their other furniture I'd be cautious.

Often custom cabinets can be fabricated that are better quality and competitively priced with pre-fab units. Also, have you looked into re-facing the existing cabinets? Often this is a very cost-effective solution to a remodeling project.

Remember that you will be looking at the work for years to come and if you USE your kitchen then you won't be sorry you opted for quality over cheaper price.
