Redecorating my room?
Question:im getting a red carpet, like a royal red, its bright
i need bedding!
Answers:
go for something bold and dramatic. Maybe a middle eastern flair. Gold and purple, or multi-color with metallics...like a harem. Use lots of fabric for a palatial effect.
White or gold
gold!
I agree. White would look good. Or even black..or maybe a dark brown.
Go to Bed Bath and Beyond or Garden Ridge. Go with the colors light beige, black, grey.
Red
gold taupe purple brown would be good
I think gold or a nice deep purple. It would really compliment the color of the carpet. And make sure the comforter is really thick and fluffy. You should have a gold bedskirt if you go with purple bedding, and decorative pillows with tassels maybe. lol just a thought!
Earth tones is what you want.
Look for golds mixed with different shades of brown to taupe.
Shop at Bed Bath and Beyond, Belk, Penney's, Sears.
You can choose either a 'red' that is 'softer and/or darker' or you can choose a 'complementary color' for your bedding. With your 'bright red' carpeting, I'd get a 'tan' bed cover with a 'pattern' you like, and then some 'light green' sheets, and some 'pink sheets' and maybe some 'tan sheets' or 'gold' ... and you can get a 'throw' that has 'all the colors' in it to put on the end of your bed to 'tie it all together.' As for 'art' you should do the 'same thing' but get pictures that you 'really like' or just use some 'sticky stuff' to put posters up ... and take your 'furniture colors and styles' into your considerations, too ... you want a 'warm, comforting area' where you can both 'relax' and sleep without feeling 'jangled' by the 'color scheme' ...
you did not say if you had old that was still good . I have had luck with dyes. But I used the bleach that they sell to treat before using the dyes. Follow the directions but use the hottest water you can get. I used the washing machine but put a kettle full of boiling water in too. Just make sure you run the washer empty after. this will get rid of any residue. good luck this is called RIT and I found it in the grocery section
