Would it look bad to put a desk in front of a window?

Question:I'm getting new furniture, and every way I plan out where to put it in my living room it seems like there is no good place for the desk. I was just going to put it in front of my big window, but people are telling me that that would look bad..are they right?

Answers:
Not necessarily. Depends on the location of the window, the size of the room, the size of the desk...

The problem you'll likely encounter, though, is having to reach over your desk (hopefully not cluttered, but let's be realistic) if you want to open or close any window treatments.

Good news for working facing a window: nice view. Bad news: plenty of distractions to keep you from getting your work done.

Feng Shui principles also don't suggest you putting your desk in front of window if it means your back will be to the door.

Actually it's a good idea, your desk will be well lit!
YES IT WOULD. Never cover a beautiful window with large furniture. CAN YOU PUT IT IN ANOTHER ROOM?
