Question about sanding and finishing wooden floor?

Question:I sanded, stained and i am finishing the wooden floor. There are some places that are not 100% flat because the sanding machine made them. How can i cover those small areas in order to have a perfect floor? Would it help if i give more coats of finiture, for instance 5 or 6?

Answers:
Sounds like you may have gouged the floor in areas. I hope you aven't started to stain and finish yet. You can take a hand sander and smooth these places. That's what I did when I refinished floors. Hand sanded any areas I was not pleased with. It worked.
Hope this helps.
