Can i use Windex on decorative Swords?
Question:hi
can i use windex on a decorative Sword? it is a little bit rusty too, but still looks nice. O_o?
Answers:
I would say yes if the sword was made of stainless steel, but since it's rusting it's definitely not stainless. Regardless, the windex won't hurt the steel so it should be alright if you are trying to get the dust off. If you want to get the rust off that is a different matter. To be on the safe side I would leave it alone. Are you absolutely positive it is a decorative sword, as in, one that was only meant to hang on the wall and look pretty? If you aren't sure it would be much more important to leave the rust and not risk damaging something that could potentially be a valuable antique. If there is a way you can follow up your question with perhaps a picture of the sword that would be wonderful or you could email it to me at: mmerc20@hotmail.com
No I don't think so not if you trying to polish them. Try using some furniture polish on them that should shine them up!
