How do I use these screws and what are they called?
Question:I can't seem to find the name of the screws. I believe they are used on drywall and you hammer a plasic white piece in the wall and screw into that. Also...am I supposed to pound the white piece into the wall all the way, or do I leave it sticking out a little? I am trying to hang a curtain rod it's not going so good. Help!

There proper name is ez-anchors. All they require is a screw driver and can hold up to 50 pounds.
Anchor screws. most hardware stores should have them. stay with the small screws for a curtain. Ez- anchors are huge and if you have studs behind the wall board they won't work. Most are 1/4 inch. You drill a 1/4 inch hole and tap the plastic anchor in. The package will tell you what size hole to drill. For full size glass door curtains I would use the Ez-anchors if you can.
they are called wall anchors you can get them about anywhere you drill a hole a little smaller then then the plastic piece then push it into the hole it has a rim in front that will stop at the wall and you screw the screw into that
The other Robert is correct, they are anchor screws. You can simply thread these anchors directly into wallboard using a power screwdriver or a hand screwdriver; they bury themselves so they are flush with the wall and have a threaded opening to put a screw into.
All the answers seem OK so far, however, I would go to a Home Improvement store and speak with one of the pros. There are many different types of wall anchors you can use, but you need to figure the approximate weight of the curtain rod and the curtains. Different types of hollow wall anchors will support different weights. Let the "pro" know what you plan on hanging, and the approximate weight - they will be able to suggest the proper hanger, and the correct way to install it.
