Can you Cover A Mirrored Wall With Wallpaper?

Question:I hope this question is reaching you in the best of health and spirits.

I just purchased a new home that cam with a mirrored wall. The wall was poorly done and I hate it. I think the previous owner installed the wall himself then had someone install a new kitchen counter that makes it hard to simply remove mirror without removing the counter.

I thought of putting wallpaper over it. Is this possible? Does anyone have a solution that I can employ until I can get some money to get it professionally removed?

Nope!!?:( The wall paper will just slip off. We had a mirrored wall I hated in a house we were in so I looked at tuns of different ideas.

I have seen where have glued (with hot glue) fake flowers over a mirrored wall. It looked real nice I'm not sure where the counter and wall are if they are in a kitchen that wouldn't work but a bathroom would be.

A good idea I saw was they put fabric over the wall. I've seen it two ways. One where they did it like curtains. The other they upholstered the wall. they took the fabric from floor to ceiling and tacked the fabric to the wall with molding.

Another idea is hang pictures over a mirrored wall I'm not sure how they did it but it looked great. It would distract from how bad the wall had been done.

I hope these help. I do feel your pain.

Thats a hard one. As long as the adhesive you use is able to stick to the mirror surface it should be possible. Or save the money you would use for buying the paper etc to go towards the removal instead.
Can you not take the mirrors off? I assume the wall is done in squares of mirrors? Any mirror should be able to come off the wall.

Just call you local decorating store and ask them if it can be wall papered over but I'd try removing the mirrors first. Just be careful!!
Boy, you bought yourself a real challenge. You will not be able to put regular wallpaper over the mirror. There is however rolls of contact paper you can get. You know the kind used to line cupboards. It has an adhesive back which will stick onto the mirror but I wouldn't vouch for what it will look like unless you manage to find yourself a pattern you really like. These are still available in most paint/wallpaper stores. Also WalMart sell them in their kitchen section and they come is rolls which are only about 15" side. Since you are saying "mirror" instead of mirrors I am assuming this wall is not covered with mirror tiles. It would also seem that the mirror ends somewhere behind the kitchen counter. I'm wondering if you called a mirror installer, if they could cut the mirror at the top of the counter which would enable you to remove the part above the counter height. Hope some of this helps. If these are mirror tiles I may have another idea for you so add an additional comment and let us know what kind of mirror you are referring to.
I think it would be possible if you used a primer on it first ( like zinsser its good for glass ) it would give the paper something to bite into.My only worry would be the paper bubbling at the mirror joints assuming their squares or prime and paint that will work for sure keeping in mind to use the right primer.
