Need help with decorating my room?
Question:In my room, i have a giant wall mural on one wall of a beach scene and then all the other walls are turqouise. what would be some cute organizing and decorative ideas? thanks for the help :)!

get some shelves & paint them beach colors that r in u'r mural. Then u can add sea shells to the front of them like a little ledge so u can put nick nacks or books or whatever on it for some organization. IF u have photos u would like to frame... purchase some inexpensive frames from places like Walmart, thrift stores, garage sales & paint them again.. colors that r in u'r beach mural & add u'r photos. IF u want a pin up board, get a large one, find some beach theme type material in clearance bins at the fabric store & get some foam board or cardboard... hot glue some batting on it & then hot glue the material around it & place it into the painted frame. Viola! u now have a pin up board.
Look for sea worthy things... sea shells.. netting w/ old boat rope draped over u'r windows, closet w/ sea shells glued to it. Take a mirror in aframe or not & glue sea shells around it... put sea shells glues to u'r handles of u'r dressers or anything that is sea worthy.

Maybe stick with the beach theme if you like it. You could find a large model ship of some sort, sea shells, nautical art etc. Make it have the sea front cottage look.
Lime green on the top half of the remaining walls, with bright pink on the bottom!
Those palm trees that light up are cool.
If you like it, keep with the beach theme. I would try adding a beach chair and an umbrella if you have the room (it would make a great easy-chair to relax and read a book). A palm tree would make a nice addition. Sea shells, a model ship, or perhaps even a fish tank with some colourful fish would be nice.

I would get some wall shelves and hang them up on the furthest wall going straight across, add little things that are beach themes like some unique glass bottles with colored sand designs in them or, sea shells, picture frames and ex. Then i would add a night stand with a great lamp on it add some candles and maybe some cool little tropical flowers around the base of the lamp, you could also get a tropical tree and add it to your decor . A local plant store should have a nice indoor tree palm that only gets about five - six ft tall. I would get some cool plain colored bedding to bring out your fav color in the mural, the sit I listed below might be of some help. Good luck:)
