How much does it cost to remodel a home?
Question:I understand that it depends on the materials as well, but how much do you think labor would cost to remodel a kitchen . changing the floors and replacing the cabinets and stuff?
i just want to know some numbers people come up with
Thank You
Answers:
$5K per bath, $10-$20k for kitchen, paint and carpet about $60 per square yard.
Depending on size of kitchen, type of flooring used, type of cabinets used and amount of prep work needed, I would estimate a minimum of $5,000. Larger area, more prep work, better quality materials, you could be looking at closer to $15,000-$20,000.
maybe a few hundred? Probably $1000 - a couple of thousand dollars, maybe $10,000 max for a kitchen, depending on how you want it. Changing floors would cost maybe a few hundred, it shouldn't cost too much. Replacing cabinets and walls should be maybe $300 to $1000+ depending how you want to do it, replace with wood, normal cabinets, nicely designed, etc. Remodeling a normal 2 story whole house only costs maybe $40,000-$70,000, my neighbor remodeled their house for around that much. So kitchen shouldn't be crippling, but still a little expensive.
$2 in SC. A billion in CA. Somewhere between for everywhere else. Please be specific when asking pricing questions. We have no clue about your kitchen. $2 I think is a fair rate for labor from anyone. They will be able to have lunch that day, maybe.
God Bless
in the city I live in ,and Iam a painting contractor and do a lot of remodels...it runs anywhere from 150-225 dollars a sq. ft.
as far as kitchens go,20k minimum, I just finished a cabinet glazing job in a kitchen remodel that when the entire kitchen was donr( cabs, granite appliances lighting flooring, etc) the total was about 200k ,so no matter what ,when it comes to kitchens they are expensive.
