Rustly metal window frame?

Question:my bathroom has a metal window frame. It has rusted pretty badly, and I've stripped it, applied all kinds of recommended primers, sanded it, you name it, I've tried it and that's after asking all the pros at the local hardware stores. Anyone have a suggestion? Thank you.

Answers:
Have you given a try to a product called Hammerite? This product was designed to be used over rusted metal as a encapsulant. It seals rust and stops moister from causing it to rust. It is interior and exterior and I have had great success using it any ware.

Replace the window
Its not rusting do to weather. The screws or nails used to attach the window frame to structure is causing a electrochemical reaction. Its similar to a battery, one metal takes ions from the other through a transfer medium such as rain water or other liquids. You may need to replace the whole window or have someone change the screws or nails used to attach the frame.
The advice you received would only fix the look not the problem.
I hope this helps.
After stripping apply Jasco metal etch. Usually comes in the quart size. Very easy to use.I have used this many times prior to painting and the paint has survived for 7 yrs. on a home only one quarter mile from the ocean...so it is under constant bombardment from salt air.
