Question:i live on the top floor of a three family house and i wanted to know if it would be ok to use a gas grill on the back patio of the house

The best answer is to asked your landlord or building super. He/She should know the fire codes for his/her building.
Why would that be a problem?
It seems to me that if there are 3 familys that all three would share the yard and surroundings equally. that would include the patio and porch etc, along with the drive way if there is one.
