Question:HI! im looking for bright, fun duvet covers for a college dorm room, rather in-expensive, but fun, pretty, girly, bright.any ideas...other than the usual target, bed bath and beyond, linens and things.any website ideas? again, duvet covers, fun bright, girly, inexpensive!
Answers:
Linens and Things has a sale in July and August geared toward college students. Last year they had duvet covers in bright colors.
You can try Home Goods or Kohl's, too. On line, access the IKEA store.
If you sew, they are easy to make. In fact you can use sheets to make the body of duvet cover and close the opening with Velcro strips.
Sew your own.. it is straight seams.. and hemming.. Look at the fabric stores for cotton prints..( more washable) and maybe you can find a girly fabric that you might enjoy better than in the store. also you can get it to match other things like throw pillows etc that you can sew or find to match the fabric.. Look at discount bins and piece the fabric together..
You could make your own from 2 sheets. Buy them one size up from the size duvet you are covering--like buy full size sheets to cover a twin size duvet. There used to be directions on Marthastewart.com on how to do it.
Hi there! Since you said that you didn't want anything from Target, Linens N Things, Bed Bath & Beyond, etc., I hesitated to show you this, but it's really cute and I think you might like it. Also, it's very inexpensive. Go to Target.com and type "Reversible Comforter Set" in the search bar. Then scroll down and click on "Reversible Comforter Set - Floral/ Green". (It will not work if you search "Reversible Comforter Set - Floral/ Green", so just type in the first part and it will work just fine.) It's a bed-in-a-bag, and the twin set is only $39.99!
Try Sears.
