I need advise on when I should take down the x-mas tree??
Question:I don't know why , but it is still green..
could it be because it I spray painted the leaves green that were still on there from last year.??
since it is still green , should I try to get another year or two out of it..?
they are a pain to take down every year..
Answers:
If you have a real tree that then it is a potential fire hazard so you should take it down. As a rule it should come down before New Years.
If it is a fake tree then why take it down. For valentines day hang hearts on it; easter hang bunnies and eggs on it; 4th of July decorate it in red white and blue; halloween will get pumpkins; thanksgiving use pictures cut from magazines of turkeys; and finally your back at christmas. If you use clear christmas lights you can have them up all year.
I never take mine down I just keep changing the directions. Currently it is covered in ty beanie babies.
Traditions and opinions are all different with this. Average from what I've heard is within the week after Christmas.
Don't spray it red, white, and blue.Just put some flags on it.Think of it like getting a jump on next year. You only have 6 months to wait..
Is it really left over from last year? Or are you just getting a jump on Christmas this year? It is ok if you do...I have already finished my Christmas shopping for this year. I finished early this year. Hurray, I am so proud.
If I have not finished shopping by Aug. I start to panic. I think I may consider going ahead and getting the decorations out and getting a head start on that. Should I put the Santa, elves and reindeer on the lawn, too?
Thanks for the smart ideas!
Maybe for the 4th of July you should start a bonfire. It would be a nice fireworks show!!
