What is the average labour charge for a carpenter(mumbai, india) to construct wardrobes/kitchen counters etc?

Question:the quotes we have received so far have been rs300-rs400 per sq feet without cost of wood. what should be the ideal range of labour cost?

Answers:
I have to be honest and say unless you asked them in the first place for advice and they told you which product to buy then the onus is on you!
I am not 100% sure how the law stands in the USA but over here in the UK you could return unopened product but anything you had opened and part used they can not resell so... they would be stuck with product .
really you should have read the label at the time of purchase!
Walmart are not a bad store in general, (My opinion from my own experiences with the company both in the US and UK) They could have been a little more understanding though... In the UK we have the trading standards department, I feel sure you have an equivalent over there and they should be able to help you or at least point you in the right direction with regards to a refund or even compensation if you were mis-sold the product! But knowing it is self service isn't this your own mistake and at the end of the day you may have to admit your own error and just get over it!
truth often hurts! But learn from the mistake, You will check next time!

It should be around 300 Rs. per day per person for 8 hrs of working
The quotes that you have received include labour and equipment charges, i.e., the carpenter brings all the equipments necessary to make the wardrobes/counter. Rs. 300/- is okay for that.

You have to supply the materials. It not only includes wood or plyboard, but laminates (for the top, if you wish), adhesives, nails, beadings, hinges, handles, locks and extra for polishing work (if you want to polish instead of laminating). If you are thinking of modular kitchens, then you will need to buy them from the market. Your carpenter will assemble and complete it.
The basic rule of thumb is generally 3 or four times the cost of materials.
