HGTV television show and decorating magazines. First you much search your own personality and decide your favorite theme. Then pick one guiding point such as a pillow or bedspread to decide your colors. You will be surprised when you get started how it will come to you. I tear pages out of decorating magazines that appeal to me and keep a folder.
go to Barnes and Noble or Borders, they have a great selection on decorating and you can sit there and read the books for free.
