How do you remove floor tile squares in bathroom?

Question:

Answers:
Are they linoleum or ceramic. Lino can be scraped but the tile is much more work. Go to a home center and buy a grout saw. Then scape as much grout out and the pry up the tiles with a small prybar. Be sure to wear eye protection!!

Hammer
a tool like an ice chipper, and break them off.
Hammer + cold chisel, then a long handled floor scraper. It is slow but in the small area of a bathroom you cannot always use power tools.
Use a chisel and hammer. Don't forger to ware safety goggles/glasses, the pieces can fly into your face(rarely).
I took a screw driver and hammered it into the tiles.
depends on how the tiles are made to stick on the floor. if they are ceramic tiles and are glued by tile adhesive, then you need to break several tiles in the conspicuous spot (special cut tiles in the corners) then gently lift the adjacent tiles by using kitchen knife.

i am assuming that you need to keep the tiles for future use.

but if you want to destroy the whole thing, then all you need is a hammer.
they make a tool called a floor scrapper, you can buy it at most hardware stores. its good to remove ceramic and glue tile. it takes a little bit of elbow work on the glue tiles but the ceramic are usually easy to get up.
If this is a older home and these are the 1" x 1" square tiles there is a chance that they are set in a concrete base that is several inches thick. By removing you will then have to build the floor back up if this condition exists. If they are solid why not just tile over.
