Why people prefer Travertine pavers to brick pavers?
Question:Why do people consider travertine pavers to be better than brick pavers? What are the price comparisons?
Answers:
Almost ANY other pavers are better than brick . Brick is too soft , & moist ( relatively) . As such , it breaks down much faster than other types , & is more likely to break from weight or some type of impact . ( Dropping a tool, etc.) . Most pavers will last a lifetime , at least . Not the case with brick.
By "Travertine" do you mean (low-moisture) concrete ? That's what most pavers are. Travertine is a type of limestone from Turkey , so is used extensively around the Mediterranean, but would suspect it's uncommon elsewhere.
Travertine is a stone that is cut. Bricks are made from clay. Most bricks made today are hollow inside, travertine is solid. Price comparisons differ based on locality.
