My sister and I have to share a room we like different things. My mom is letting us redecorate and paint it.?
Question:We can't agree on what color to paint the room. My, ahem I mean OUR room is quite small. I like blue and she likes pink. I play basketball and she does ballet. We are very different. I want to know if any of you have suggestions on how to decorate the room so we both like it. Thanks!

Paint half the room in a certain color scheme, and the other half in a different one. Switch beds every week (have your own color-coded sheets/blankets/comforters that are easily removable).
so y not paint the walls blue & pink...? U'r side blue... & her side pink then she can decor w/ ballet things & u can decor w/ baseball items.
R u beds side by side? Then stop the wall in the middle on both sides. U could even incorporate a sheer curtain to hang from the ceiling that u could pull back when u want it open & tie it to the wall w/ a rope tastle or belt... then pull it at nt..etc..
U could do u'r side a couple shades of blue w/ mayb red accents or green... she could do her side shades of pink/fushia w/ accents of white or rose or baby yellow
If u share a dresser... c if u can paint it dow the middle esp if it fits in the middle of u'r wall. If not paint it white to go w/ both sides then on u'r side get baseball or such little items & glue them on u'r handles & she can glue ballerina's on hers.

Whoever is sleeping on bottom bunk paint the lower half of the room your favorite color. Top half is the other persons favorite color. Maybe blend the two together where they meet in the center maybe with a sponge or something so its not like a clear line between the two.
Maybe add stripes of the other persons color in yours...
Hm mm. I know how you feel I had to share a room with my sister for 16 years. AND of course it was the same situation but I liked pink and she liked blue at the time. I would suggest painting the room a neutral color (white or something) and just have accents that have both colors. OR you both have one wall that you will paint your favorite color(s) and the other 2 walls pink. That way you each get to decorate your own wall or something. As far as the bunk beds go try going with your favorite colors for the bedding.
paint half of the room pink and the other half blue on the pink walls put her ballet things on the blue walls put your basketball things hang shelfs on the walls the keep your trophies and metels... paint 1 half of the bed pink and the other half blue..
Compromise and make the room lavender! jk. you can do blue and pink stripes, but I don't recommend it. I would paint the walls white and have pink and blue trimmings. Half and half would look so unbalanced =[
