Question:What color is your room and does the color make your room look big or small?
and what color should i redo my room and why?

which rm? the room i'm in is brite! blues/greens & purples... blue & green stripes w/ negative faux finsh behind it going 3/4 way up then lettering at the time for a border. It gives the appearance of the rm is taller w/ the stripes & 3/4 walls.
to make u'r room give u the illusion of larger... stripes around the room or designs around the room for height... stripes going up & 3/4 paint up the wall & light color ceiling UNLESs u have a very big room w/ vaulted ceilings.
U need to find what colors u like. What makes u happy? What colors r in u'r room that make u happy? Then chose those to go on u'r walls & accents... 1-3 colors w/ 1 or 2 being the main colors then the 3rd more u'r accents.

It is a small room, but the hot colors do not make it smaller because I have wheat/Asian inspired accents in the room.
BUT.Your room is different! I just saw a design program on T.V. that said and I agree...Go look into your closet for your favorite clothes! then use those colors to design your favorite room, Walls, accents, rugs, window treatments. Go for your favorite clothes to carry into your favorite room!

if u want your room 2 look big then color it w/ light colors

My room is a beach theme with lime green and hot pink walls. I love it we have (my sister and I share a room) two dressers that are a shadowbox on top so we have picture in there and some other stuff.
I've always wanted to paint my room orange and hot pink. Or blue like kind of aquamarie/light blue/ocean.
My house is owned by my in-laws, and my mother-in-law decorated about 6 years ago. 20 year old PINK carpet, wallpaper on EVERY wall. Even on the doors and shelves of the cabinets in the hall. Too bad I can't make too many changes ;)

My room is a creamish color. It makes it look slightly bigger than it really is. Pale blues/greens/purples are good colours for a bedroom because they are naturally calming (evenknown as the cool colors) and if you want your room to look bigger than it is, the lighter shades help.
