Cream utensils and appliances for a maple kitchen, good or bad idea?
Question:Please explain why.
Answers:
Bad idea, you will always be cleaning them, plus with time the colour will fade to a nasty off white which just looks plain dirty!
Your kitchen being Maple I suggest you go for beige or dark colours that compliment it.
Nowadays you can buy most appliances such as a dishwasher, washing machine etc in a beige colour and also if you wanted too, you could get them with a fitted maple door that hides the appliances.
As for Utensils I suggest the colour chocolate, you can buy toasters and Kettle's in these colours also.
Sounds nice, light and clean looking to me. Happy shopping.
I think I'd go for contrast to the cabinets. Stainless steel appliances or the new graphite (which is darker and fingerprint resistant).
By cream I assume you mean bisque or biscuit. Which color of appliances you choose would depend on the color of the maple you are planning to use or have. We did natural maple cabinets with a bisque wall oven, fridge, warming drawer, microwave, and range hood in our natural maple kitchen. Then since we went with a Tan/Brown granite top, we did a black cooktop. Looks great.
The Bisque coordinates and blends in with the natural maple.
Stainless or any of the new techno finishes or black would have called our attention to the appliances first and not the kitchen as a whole.
If I had been using a darker color of maple I probably would not have used bisque.
