Interior Decoration Question?

Question:What color should I paint the main entrance into my house. It's a small hallway that leads to the kitchen, dining room and den. I want an inviting color that's not to flamboyant.

Answers:
The first thing that struck my mind when reading your description was a nice light green. Something like the lightest shade of green that you see here on FindHomeAnswerss.

Do something bright and welcoming. If you go to dark in an entrance why it will seem uninviting. Maybe like a Behr Harvest Brown
you mentioned that it was small
Then you should use a light colour that will make the hallway seem larger than it is and it will also make it welcoming
Do what you like, unless you are planning on selling soon then go with a neutral color. If the entrance doesn't have much light don't go with a dark color it will seem dungeon-us. Personally I like sage greens and warm tans, its nice to walk into a warm color rather than a cool color... it makes it feel homey.
Since other rooms do lead off this hallway, the color you choose should really work with those colors too. You could go with a light neutral. The gold colors are becoming neutrals now, such as Sherwin Williams Blonde. They pretty much work with other colors, give you some color without going with beige, and brighten up a space.
hmm.. how about deep orange?
bright, fresh, not boring, quite interesting-
