Installing kitchen cabinets?
Question:How can I determine where to screw the cabinets since I wont be able to see where the stud marks are when I put them against the wall?
Answers:
Mark all studs (you can just use blue painters tape and put right below cabinet line..
Place line where you want cabinets to start (if in middle wall) or work from corner.
Take measurement form staring point to studs . This will be your edge of cabinet to each stud drill small hole from back through. Hold up put on lines (plumb )and insert screws .
measure from edge of 1st cabinet installed to get studs and transfer to back of next. Continue around till done.
I tell people tape trick for uppers and lowers its easier to look at tape to see if you are close to stud . good luck
Draw your cabinets on the wall prior to hanging, determine where the studs are and transfer those marks on your cabinet. So once you have drawn the cabinet on the wall mark your stud, measure from the stud to your line and transfer mark
find the studs, measure and pre-drill cabinets.
