Question:I live in a new house and have practically cleaned most of the walls back to the plaster as the paint that he been put on isn't water proof. I need some ideas for reasonably priced paint to paint in my childrens rooms which can be easily cleaned.
What do you suggest?

hiya, had to laugh at some of the other comments. they don't make paint with lead thro it anymore and haven't for years, try getting a vinyl silk if you don't want it to shine but can be cleaned with soapy water either that a silk paint which will give a shine like a gloss and is very durable, don't go to places like homebase or B&Q get it from your local build centers like decor, crown or laylands
something without lead in it
Lead paint. It's inexpensive and makes a good snack
We painted our childrens rooms with Kitchen and Bathroom paint that is high gloss or semi gloss. It cleans easily. Hope this helps.
You can make it poka-dot, stripe, or draw a landscape it would be really cool! If u are paint the bedroom, paint the night of ton of twinkle star!
I'm with perkie. Go for a kitchn paint which is washable. There is a brand that Lowe's sells but I can't think of the name. It has little kid handwriting on it and it is speciifcally for houses with kids because it washes stains off easily. If you have a Lowe's Menards or Home Depot, ask their paint people, they can help you.
Yes, high gloss seems to be the most child-resistant, though some people don't like the way it looks. Semi-gloss is good too. There are also new non-toxic paints out (no fumes!) that you can buy at your local Home Depot.
make sure it's lead free,, go to home-depot and ask them which ones to use and make sure they understand you have children
There are so many paint choices at the hardware stores... I've had great luck at my Lowe's store. The hardest part is deciding what color to go with-- they have huge sample choices you can take home. With kids, for easy cleaning--you will want to go with a glossy paint, the shinier it is the easier it wipes clean. :) Oh, and keep in mind that you will need to use at least one coat of primer first--otherwise the plaster will soak up the paint. Good luck, have fun!
Use a semi-gloss paint on the walls instead of flat paint - it will be easier to clean.
just use silk ...itl wipe clean!
nowadays, u can find the paint type which you can wipe it off - whenever there's dirty spot on it ..
we ussualy used the ICI DULUX paint - it's cost bit higher, but the quality is prove!
