Which save more water, shower or bathe?

Question:thanks in advance

Answers:
bath unless you take an extremely fast shower

It would depend on how long of a shower you take.
bath of course
Shower.
bath durh
shower
have a cowboy or girl !
bathe but i usually just take showers
Quick shower will definately save more.
It depends on how long your shower is
-5 minutes I'd go with the shower
-30 minutes the bath saves much more
-I think a 15 minutes shower uses like 30 gallons
Well I agree, it would depend on how long your shower was, but as it stands showers are more wasteful in the water department as a general rule.
i think bath because you can take a bath for as long as you want with still using the same water but if u take a shower long, the water will keep getting down the drain. so i suggeset a bath.
quick showers (5 min) save alot more water than taking a bath...and they also get you cleaner...just imagine..in your bath all the crap your washing off of you just goes into the water your sitting in...i would choose the shower even if it doesn't save water (if its more than 5 min)
just don't !!!!

A nice warm shower or bath or sauna is one of the basic pleasures in life. Adds no calories, releases toxins. Especially nice in Winter.
a bath.but showers are so much better in my opinion...
Depends on how long your shower takes. I teach my students to take a bath, but first measure on the side of the tube how high the water is. Then, the next time they take a shower, plug the drain and let the water fill up. When finished, compare the measure of water from the shower to the measure for the bath. Of course, this only works if you have a shower/tub in your bathroom!
Well how long of a shower? That would save moe if it was less then 4 min. Other whys it would be bath. I did a science experiment a couple years ago on that for school. But there are also the energy efficent shower heads which reduce the water needed to make pressure. So that would be best
I would save bath, as long as you're not filling the tub up to the very top. You're using a definate amount of water when you take a bath, as with a shower, you're just letting it run and run.

It really varies though with how long of a shower you take (I don't conserve anything with my 30 minute showers) or with how much water you prefer in your bath. If you want to compare, run a shower for your normal length of time, but plug the drain. See how much water fills up. If you use less for a bath, that's conserving more water. If not, stick with the showers.
short showers save water and get you cleaner
Shower uses a lot less. To prove it next time you shower, close the tube drain and you will see that the tub will not even come close to being as full as it would if you filled it for a bath.
It is all about the length of shower, and flow of the shower head. A regular bath is about 20-30 gallons of water while a medium flow shower head is about 4 gallons per minute (flow can range anywhere from 3-7 gallon/min)

so . . .
shower
5 min x 4 gal/min = 20 gallons
15 min x 5 gal/min = 75 gallons

bath
minimal = 20 gallons
absolutely full = 36 gallons
Here's how to find out for sure. Get a 2 or 3-gallon pail. Take it to the bathtub, and turn the cold water on full. Time how long it takes to fill it. Divide that time into the time it takes to run a bath to the level you usually use. That answer is your "tub factor". Now take the pail to your shower, and time how long it takes to fill up. Then take a normal shower, and time how long you take. Divide the pail time into the shower time. That answer is your "shower factor." If your shower factor is less, taking a shower saves more water. If your tub time is less, taking a tub bath saves more water.

Sure, it's a little bit of work, but worth it if you really want to save water, isn't it? Don't take somebody's word for it - they have no idea how much water you use for either a shower or a bath, do they?
If you're a guy - I'd say a shower saves more cause everyone knows they take the fastest showers. I can't help it. It's the cheapest massage I can get so I stay in the shower for 10 minutes!! I have kids - no time for baths!
