Bedroom Colors?
Question:What are some good relaxing bedroom colors.
Answers:
almost any colour can be relaxing if used right...beiges, sage and pale greens, light blues, lavenders, browns, creams and even black all work...however to me what truly makes the bedroom relaxing is the bed..a nice soft bed with tons of pillows and a lot of sheets can make any room seem comfortable...in terms of wall colour though my pick is beige and light blue with a bit of white accent
A dull shade of red.
Baby blue with espresso brown. I did this to my guest room and at first I was worried about how it would look but I went with it anyways. I did the wall behind the headboard espresso brown and all the other walls in this beautiful kind of ocean-like blue. I found a beautiful thick comforter with the same colors and threw in some extra throw pillows. I have had several guests in that room and they ALL say the room is very pretty and cozy. I was quite proud of myself since I don't really have a decorative eye.
BLUE. see link.
Martha Stewart Milk Pail through Sherwin Williams. It's a grayed down blue, very relaxing and spa-like. I put it in my own master bedroom. I love it!
Sage green, something like Restoration Hardware's Silver Sage; a gold tone, Benjamin Moore has a couple that are light, not bright; Golden Straw is one.
hi love using red a deep color not bright i love it cause it makes the room warm and cozy
Benjamin Moore;
Brandon beige
benington gray
boothbay gray
I could go on, but I think relaxing should be clean, calm like muted blues, greens, soft browns or grays.
look into psychology of colour and how it affects your mood. Although reds are warm and cozy, they are also energizing and stimulating.
Light lavender, eggshell white, light pink, light yellow, etc.
You need to pick colours that are relaxing and not cold. Colours like lavender and sage green are suppose to be very relaxing. Stay away from Reds, dark colours, and anything that looks sterile.
HI! In my opinion relaxing colours are like lemon, blue, green
ETC and depend on what colour relax your eyes.
Any soft shade will work. Try pulling a color from your bedding or curtains, and use a lighter shade. I prefer blue myself.
For me, deep colors are relaxing... not necessarily dark. I think deep, but lighter shades of greys, browns, greens or blues are calming. It's really about what your preferences are, though. I tend to think that pinks and yellows (as previously recommended) are pretty, but not calming. These brighter colors tend to make some feel more energized than relaxed. You should also try to choose a color theme with 2 or 3 total colors to attain a more decorated look.
you could use any of the tans, beige, light green, burgandy wine color, then get some really nice nature photos, like animals, flowers, ocean etc. whatever makes you personally feel peaceful inside.. here is my favortie photographer , her photos always make me feel at peace inside..

Blueish, or turquoise, with lime green, the colors work really well together, and are very cool, and calming. I just painted my bedroom that color, and if you want to find accessories to match go to target, they have really cool things.
