I need a "crafty person's" input, please!?
Question:You know those old wire basket egg holders they used to use (I guess) in the country? I have one shaped like a black cat, and I'm at a loss on what to use it for. I'm a contemporary person, and don't want to use it for (fake) eggs! Oh, I have it on top of my frig., so what can I put in it that would be decorative only?

fake synthetic flowers, or fake (wax) fruits...or even some dry pot pourrie & place it in the patio/backyard floor or on any patio table center...

I think the flowers idea would be easiest, but you could also put candles in it or use it as something to make storage more decorative by putting jars in it.

I have one shaped like a chicken and use it in my guest bath for towels, soaps and bath salts. Before that, I had used it for outgoing mail.
I have a glass container in my kitchen with wine corks in it. If you drink wine,that might be kind of cool. I also keep decorative metal baskets in my kitchen to hold kitchen soaps and one for garlic and fresh ginger. Use it in your bathroom with a rolled towel and some handmade soaps.
